What is the Global RFP/DDQ/GCSR (Global Consultant Services & Reporting)? Team Responsible for?

The Global RFP Team is responsible for completing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and other new business or client-related questionnaires which accurately and favorably represent the organization, and its investment products and services, to prospective clients and their advisers.

As part of Global RFP, the Director of US Institutional, Insurance & Americas RFP/DDQ Team supports the full range of Franklin Templeton's investment capabilities across 23 distinct investment groups.

This individual supports the firm's new business development and client retention efforts through partnership with clients and business partners; assesses needs and evolves capabilities within the team to meet these needs.

Further, this individual will co-ordinate, create and deliver responses for Request For Proposal (RFP), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ), and other external client-related requests, which accurately and favorably represent the organization, and its investment products and services, to prospective and existing external clients and their advisors.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the RFP Director - US Institutional, Insurance & Americas?
  • Establishes, develops and implements servicing strategy, operating models, and workflow tools to manage the team's performance.

  • Partners with key business leaders to advance relationships with prospective and existing clients and consultants through the firm's response to questionnaires/submissions and other inquiries from existing and prospective clients and consultants.

  • Proposes solutions to longer term capacity constraints and troubleshoots immediate scheduling issues as they arise.

  • Measures results by establishing, tracking and monitoring key department performance measurements. Use metrics and data insights to identify and implement productivity and quality improvements.

  • Analyzes new strategic/tactical processes to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness, coordinating with Lead Business Analyst for design, training and implementation.

  • Through subordinate managers or directly, drives and develops capability within the team to meet current and evolving business needs/requirements.

  • Provides insight to support development and maintenance of product/strategy/firm level content.

  • Coaches and develops team to ensure responses to questionnaires/submissions accurately position the organization, and its investment products and services to prospective and existing clients and their advisors.

  • Oversees a global team of managers and specialists across multiple offices, including external vendors (where applicable).

  • Identifies long-term development requirements to meet current and evolving business needs/requirements, coaches and mentors leaders and other direct reports to meet or exceed performance expectations.

  • Identifies and implements appropriate workforce plan and operating models.

  • Develops and leads system or business-related project activities

  • Supports senior managers in establishing and implementing long-term strategic goals for the global team.

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus

  • 10+ years of client or marketing management experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of financial services industry experience, institutional business understanding, building relationships and client knowledge expertise.

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of people management experience in a multi-site or international environment.

  • Ability to work in multiple time zones

  • Claritas Investment Certificate from CFA Institute a plus

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between$145,000 - $170,000.
