Supervisory Duties: None

Summary: The position will be accountable for performing a variety of the Bank's accounting functions, including: posting journal entries, reconciling accounts and preparing financial documents in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare and post journal entries as needed.
  • Prepare assigned reconciliations in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with monthly closings and preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Support the general account analysis and reconciliations of the Bank's correspondent bank accounts.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining appropriate internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Process fixed assets transactions and wire transfers as needed.
  • Respond to scheduling changes and provide department coverage as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP), interpret results, prepare documentation; create financial reports and/or presentations.
  • Advanced application of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent intersocial skills with internal and external clients.
  • Methodical ability to solve problems.
  • Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good record-keeping.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field.
  • 0-2 years of recent Accounting experience.

**Department hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 CST

**Internal Pay Level 7
