JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the field leadership team in providing leadership, supervision, and technical management to subcontractors/trades and their foreman. You will get to assist in providing them direction in planning, coordinating, and executing the work onsite safely, timely, within budget, and to quality standards.

This role will join the team constructing a mixed-use high-rise in Manhattan.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. It is not intended to be a complete list of all required.

  • Maintains an understanding and awareness, managing to the Global Minimum Requirements (GMRs) for all aspects of the site. Including pre-planning, monitoring of construction activities and site conditions, and taking corrective actions to non-compliant work. Communicates Lendlease EHS initiatives on a daily basis to the trades/subcontractors.

  • Provide direction to trade persons and subcontractors by coordinating plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure quality and on-time completion of work.

  • Uses judgment to apply awareness of technical capabilities of specific construction trades when problem solving.

  • Delivers to quality expectations by understanding the deliverables and applying the appropriate process to maintain accurate construction documents, including drawings, specifications, schedules, detailed project records and nonconformance reports.

  • Consistently tests quality of work in progress to minimize rework through daily monitoring of resources, including manpower, materials and temporary works against project plan.

  • Works with site customer representative, site foreman and appropriate project staff to remedy quality issues as quickly and cost efficiently as possible.

  • Develops strong relationships with project stakeholders, including subcontractor foremen, through friendly, professional, and supportive approach. Operates in a collaborative manner, involving others in idea generation and decision making.

  • Actively seeks exposure to varied projects and different stages of the project lifecycle.

  • Has a solid understanding of the skills and expertise of the broader team and harnesses the relevant professionals to maximize success.

  • Has an intermediate understanding of engineering and construction principles.

  • Aids in the preplanning of work with subcontractors in order to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of construction site logistics, safety, and schedules. Able to read and interpret blueprints and understand specifications.

  • Experience working with Concrete and/or Crown Steel trades is pluls.

  • Requires leadership, interpersonal, conflict resolution, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Share in the company's unwavering commitment to being Incident and Injury Free. Knowledgeable of OSHA requirements, and OSHA 10-hour certification are both a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard construction software applications including Primavera 6 and construction documentation management systems (i.e. Procore, ProLog, PlanGrid or others).

  • Bachelor's degree in an accredited industry-related curriculum preferred, or has experience equivalent to a 4-year degree.

Base Salary Range: $96,000 - $122,000

The above salary range represents Lendlease's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards Lendlease provides to employees. The base compensation amount offered to a successful candidate will be decided based on a range of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skillset, and education level.
