Overview

This role sits within the Strategic Remediation Control Office, which leads the Transformation and Remediation at Deutsche Bank. The Office leads oversight of programs which contribute to the uplift of the Firm's capabilities across multiple lines of defense working in partnership with global Businesses, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Audit. The team ensures alignment of the portfolio of projects remains within groupwide strategic priorities and are successfully implemented to achieve the intended benefit and outcomes. Insights produced are critical to ensuring successful closure at the end of execution of project plans. What You'll Do

  • Ensure effective and sustainable outcomes are met from project management remediation plans through controls outcome quality review and challenge and closure advocacy

  • Execute against global framework for enhanced review and challenge of remediation delivery and outcomes, including testing capability aligned to regulatory expectations and criteria for scope of application

  • Ensure capability and capacity metrics are in place to deliver within mandate, and support lessons learnt and root cause review as deficiencies are identified

  • Train organization on "what good looks like" in partnership with audit

How You'll Lead

  • Mentoring and coaching junior members of the team

  • Positively influencing diverse stakeholders without direct authority

  • Managing upward communications to effectively escalate and inform decision-making

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably with a focus on economics, business, or engineering

  • Extensive working experience in the financial services industry and a clear understanding of Finance's key processes and systems

  • Strong reading and writing skills and highly experienced in Excel, PowerPoint, or reporting tools

  • Experience in executive messaging, reporting and communications related to managing large scale portfolio closures

  • Experience in the establishment, and implementation of review and challenge frameworks

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience in reviewing and challenging project plans and artifact evidence, effectively informing the success of achieving outcome intended closures

  • Advanced skills in elective stakeholder management along with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to discuss and face different points of view or disagreements in a constructive manner

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $177,000 to $266,700.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
