Our Fragrance Ingredients Business' product portfolio fuses leading-edge technology in the scientific discovery of sustainable fragrance molecules and a century of knowledge in natural ingredients.To help customers open up new spaces for sustainable creations, our research team uses eco-friendly chemistry and biotechnology to develop pioneering molecules, focusing on renewable and upcycled carbon, biodegradability and providing nine measurable sustainable parameters for our ingredients.

As an Sales Account Manager in our Fragrance Division you will report to the Senior Account Executive, and you will manage top and bottom lines for Fragrance Ingredients for USA & Canada. Using market understanding, and by communicating with partners (internally and externally), you will prepare and implement sales strategies to increase sales and margins for assigned accounts.

You will be onsite and based at Givaudan's Fragrance & Beauty office at East Hanover, NJ.

  • Business Development: Grow Fragrance Ingredient Business (FIB) with designated accounts by meeting sales budget targets for top line growth and profitability to achieve our business goals for FIB North America (USA and Canada). Work with a variety of our client portfolio including Fragrance & Flavor companies, Beauty Care companies, and our Distributor. Identify and cultivate business opportunities for Givaudan while working in good collaboration with internal stakeholders - Pricing, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, and FIB Global Sales Coordinators and Support.

  • Customer Influence: Manage designated existing client portfolio business by not only retaining current business, but also by identifying opportunities for growth to develop new business opportunities and new project pipelines. Demonstrate a high level of client intimacy while working within a complex global structure. Lead regional negotiations and RFQ (Request for Quote) process for your assigned client portfolio, and support global negotiations of RFQ process. Ensure implementation of local contract agreements.

  • Market Insights: Monitor competition activity and provide market insights to globally coordinated accounts and management.Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and demonstrate a knowledge of the ingredients market and capitalizing on business opportunities, while coordinating company resources to meet deadlines and achieve KPIs. Represent us and business opportunity at conferences, trade shows, and conventions.

Your professional profile should include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or other scientific fields or related field required. Master's degree is helpful.
  • 7 + of overall professional experience with 3 of those years in sales - customer-facing - preferably in ingredients sales.
  • Understanding of the industry and experience in the fragrance and other ingredients market
  • Expert in delivering compelling presentations for promoting aroma chemicals and natural ingredients to clients and prospects
  • Negotiation skills and prior experience with global accounts and managing customer's RFQ process.
  • Prior experience in SAP (running BI reports, setting up and managing pricing in SAP) helpful
  • Experience managing projects, and coordinating internal and external teams and important deliverables with timelines.
  • Expected to travel up to 15% for regional client meetings or internal global sales meetings.
