Your Role

Gensler's New York office is seeking an HR Specialist who will be involved with all aspects of Human Resources. This is an opportunity to be part of a strategic HR service model in an innovative environment working closely with the HR team and office leadership. What You Will Do

  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; training and development.

  • Analyze large data sets in a fast-paced environment; extract trends and themes, identify issues and provide solutions from analysis of data to better support business operations and drive efficiencies.

  • Develop work plans and roll out yearly programs including open enrollment, professional development plans, engagement survey, and promotions.

  • Facilitate global mobility of employees with transfers, relocations, immigration, and visa requests.

  • Maintain HRIS data, perform audits, and create reports; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Lead and manage multiple HR projects simultaneously, ensuring flawless execution demonstrated by schedule adherence, project quality, risk mitigation and business value in line with strategic goals and objectives.

  • Partner with HR leaders, IT, Finance, and studios to understand stakeholder impacts, understand end to end requirements, and drive project priorities.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, guiding them towards the successful execution of projects.

  • Facilitate change management and ensure alignment among team members, stakeholders, and leadership.

  • Support full lifecycle of the employee from on-boarding, engagement, development, exit, and retirement.

  • Partner with Talent Development team in rolling out programs, including our annual PDP program and participate in professional development for team members across the firm.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as appropriate

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience, architecture or professional services firm experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • A good understanding of data analysis, able to produce clear and concise reports.

  • Ability to work with diverse, creative, professional people in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Ability to process high volume of confidential data with integrity and professionalism.

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations across different regions.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives.

  • Sense of humor and an ability to have fun in a dynamic, fast-paced, creative environment.

  • Advanced MS Office proficiency - Intermediate to Advanced Excel proficiency is a must (V/X-Lookups, advanced formulas, charts, graphs, tables); Advanced PowerPoint skills.

  • Heavy experience with HRIS and HRIS reporting; Workday experience preferred.

  • Deploy holistic project methodologies to facilitate agile project execution and adapt to changes swiftly.

  • SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.

**The base salary range will be estimated between $75,000-$95,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
