Job Description

SIGN ON BONUS FOR ELIGIBLE NEW HIRES

The Lung Cancer Screening Program PSA II will be working alongside the Nurse Navigator to coordinate patient care forthe Lung Cancer Screening Program and the Lung Nodule Clinic.

  • Manage electronic and phone communication regarding patient care for Lung Screening Program and Lung Nodule Center Program
  • Manage appointment and radiology authorization work queues
  • Patient outreach to assess and screen for program eligibility
  • Scheduling and coordination of shared decision making appointments and low dose CT scans appointments
  • Surgical scheduling of all outpatient bronchoscopy procedures
  • Attend biweekly multidisciplinary conference to assist RN with fast track navigation for Lung Nodule Center
  • Assists RN Navigator with preparation and distribution of patient correspondence and tracking
  • Serves as a patient service associate for the clinic, including checking in and out, collection of co-pays, obtain and verify insurance and demographic information. Register patients in EPIC. Provide additional support including answering phones, completing referrals and scheduling appointments.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals within the LCS program, work effectively in a team environment and independently, prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple tasks, and willing to learn new skills (e.g. software programs).
  • Must be detail oriented and adaptable to change.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.

Education

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years office experience
