Our Recruiting Intern is responsible for helping and supporting the recruiting activities of the HR Team in a multi-state environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in HR in a part time capacity while still able to provide excellent customer service to our candidates and future employees. Must be versatile and able to help with whatever may be requested, within the scope of the position.Responsibilities for our Recruiting Intern include but are not limited to:Support HR Recruiting team and hiring managers by interviewing, presenting offers, facilitating candidate logistics, scheduling and leading the onboarding process.Main point of contact for New Hire Onboarding process. Send out welcoming packages to new employeesMain point of contact for employees and managers with regards to HR related issues and questions within the scope of role. Directs employee concerns and needs to the appropriate HR team member.Assist the recruiting team as needed performing reference checks, setting up appointments for interview while maintaining Recruiting filesOther duties as assigned by management.The successful candidate for this position will share the following knowledge, skills and abilities:Ability to work 20 - 25 hours a week - set schedule preferred but open to allow the right candidate to set their own hours within business hours.High School Diploma or GED required.2 year degree in business related, or HR related field or demonstrated equivalent work experience highly preferred.Willingness to learn and grow in the HR field.Strong familiarity with UKG highly desired but not required.Strong computer skills with ability to learn new programs quickly.Ability to understand basic accounting information.Must be extremely detail-oriented and fortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of detail and confidentiality.Strong interpersonal skills are vital, must be comfortable speaking with everyone from Administrative professionals all the way to Executive Board members.Basic knowledge of employment law is a plus.Self-Starter, with a positive, can-do attitude.Highly collaborative and promote a team atmosphere.Along with the opportunity to be an agent of change and make your own mark at a great company with a unique culture, we can we offer you:Competitive Pay;Employee DiscountsBerger Transfer & Storage, Inc is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employer that welcomes diversity in the workplace.
